The film shoot for director Aaron Sorkin’s Being the Ricardos was canceled at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California, over a boycott of the landmark hotel, which is facing widespread claims of racial discrimination and sexual misconduct from former staffers, according to a report by the Hollywood Reporter.

Report: Oscar-Winning Hollywood Producer Scott Rudin Engaged in Years of Abusive Workplace Behavior

As Hollywood continues its reckoning with bad managerial behavior, former assistants to Oscar-winning movie producer Scott Rudin are once again coming forward to spill the beans on his pattern of abusive workplace practices, including an incident in which he allegedly smashed a computer monitor on an assistant’s hand and another in which he allegedly threw a stapler at an assistant and called him a “retard.”

Aaron Sorkin: ‘Social Network’ Sequel Would Focus On Zuckerberg’s Failure to Stop ‘Bad Actors’

The LA Times recently interviewed screenwriter Aaron Sorkin about his new take on To Kill a Mockingbird and the criticism he received for adapting the work of a female author as a white man. As part of the interview, Sorkin said that if he wrote a sequel to the movie The Social Network, it would focus on Mark Zuckerberg’s inability to deal with “bad actors” on Facebook, and how the company has “helped damage democracy.”
