Emergency Declared in NC Town Ahead of Police Bodycam Release

Officials in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, declared a state of emergency on Monday morning in advance of an expected release of police bodycam videos. The videos are expected to show more details regarding the shooting by police of Andrew Brown, Jr. during the execution of a drug-related search and arrest warrant last week.

Video: Trevor Noah Trashes American Law Enforcement but Defended Use of Police Force in South Africa’s Marikana Massacre

Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah used his nightly platform Wednesday to trash U.S. law enforcement, smearing American police officers as fruit from a “rotten tree.”  Now, one of Noah’s old stand-up comedy acts has resurfaced in which he defends the use of deadly police force in the Marikana Massacre in South Africa.

Protesters Build Embattlements During Seige of Minnesota Police HQ

Protesters in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, began placing embattlements on the streets outside the police headquarters building as the city’s curfew approached. They also carried improved shielding to allow protesters to hide from police projectiles while they throw objects at the police.

GRAPHIC VIDEO: ‘Possible Accidental Shooting’ by Police of Minneapolis Man, Says Chief

The Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, police officer who allegedly shot and killed Duante Wright on Sunday may have done so accidentally, according to the police chief. The chief believes the officer may have intended to shoot Wright with a Taser but drew the service pistol accidentally. The above image depicts the second before the trigger on the service pistol was apparently pulled.
